Betadine Douche contains 10% povidone-iodine, an antiseptic effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and yeasts. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of minor vaginal soreness, irritation, and itching. Additionally, it serves as a vaginal cleanser for vaginitis caused by candidal, trichomonal, non-specific, or mixed infections, and for pre-operative disinfection of the vagina. The solution maintains microbicidal activity in the presence of blood, pus, and vaginal secretions. . For therapeutic douching, add two medicine measures (10 mL) of Betadine Douche to the squeeze bottle, fill with lukewarm water, and gently shake. Carefully insert the applicator into the vagina and gently squeeze the bottle to expel the solution, allowing it to flow freely from the vagina. Repeat until all the solution has been used. Use once per day for 7–14 days or as directed by a physician. For cleansing and deodorizing, add one medicine measure (5 mL) to the squeeze bottle, fill with lukewarm water, and use as described. Use once or twice weekly, or as directed by a physician.
