Cetrotide (cetrorelix acetate) is a synthetic decapeptide that functions as a GnRH antagonist. By competitively binding to GnRH receptors in the pituitary gland, it rapidly suppresses the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This suppression prevents premature LH surges and ovulation, allowing for optimal follicular development during ART procedures. Each vial contains 0.25 mg of cetrorelix, and the accompanying pre-filled syringe contains 1 mL of sterile water for injection. The product is available in pack sizes of 1 vial with 1 pre-filled syringe or 7 vials with 7 pre-filled syringes. . Dosage: Administer 0.25 mg of Cetrotide subcutaneously once daily, starting either on stimulation day 5 or day 6, and continue daily until the day of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) administration. Administration: Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with the provided solvent. Inject subcutaneously into the lower abdominal area, maintaining at least a 1-inch distance from the navel.
