Cyclogest contains 400 mg of micronized progesterone per pessary. Progesterone is essential for regulating the menstrual cycle and maintaining pregnancy. Cyclogest is indicated for the treatment of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), characterized by symptoms such as tension, irritability, depression, headache, breast tenderness, weight gain, and bloating in the luteal phase. It is also used to manage postnatal depression and to support the luteal phase in women undergoing ART treatments. The pessaries can be administered either vaginally or rectally, depending on individual circumstances and medical advice. . Premenstrual Syndrome and Postnatal Depression: Insert 200 mg daily to 400 mg twice daily, either vaginally or rectally, as directed by a healthcare professional. For PMS, commence treatment on day 14 of the menstrual cycle and continue until the onset of menstruation. If symptoms are present at ovulation, start on day 12. Luteal Phase Support in ART: Insert 400 mg vaginally twice daily, starting at oocyte retrieval. Continue administration for 38 days if pregnancy is confirmed.
