Dalacin Vaginal Ovules are suppositories designed for intravaginal use. Each ovule releases 100 mg of clindamycin phosphate, an antibiotic effective against certain anaerobic bacteria responsible for bacterial vaginosis. This condition is characterized by an overgrowth of harmful bacteria in the vagina, leading to symptoms such as unusual discharge, odor, irritation, or itching. . Dosage: Insert one ovule high into the vagina each night at bedtime for three consecutive nights. - Instructions: 1. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the ovule. 2. Remove the ovule from its packaging. 3. While lying on your back with knees bent, gently insert the ovule deep into the vagina using the applicator provided or your finger. 4. Remain lying down for a few minutes to ensure the ovule stays in place. - Precautions: Avoid vaginal intercourse, tampons, or douches during treatment. Clindamycin can weaken latex or rubber contraceptive devices (e.g., condoms, diaphragms); do not use these during treatment and for at least 72 hours after completing therapy.
