Opticin Eye Drops 0.3% is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It is indicated for the treatment of superficial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers, caused by susceptible bacteria. The drops work by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, thereby eliminating the infection. Suitable for adults and children over two years old. Users should remove contact lenses before application. Common side effects may include mild eye irritation or a bitter taste. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions for use. For conjunctivitis: Instill 2 drops into the affected eye every 2 hours while awake for the first 2 days, then 2 drops every 4 hours while awake for the next 5 days. For corneal ulcers: Instill 2 drops into the affected eye every 15 minutes for the first 6 hours, then every 30 minutes for the remainder of the first day. On the second day, instill 2 drops every hour. From the third to the fourteenth day, instill 2 drops every 4 hours.
