Tobrex Eye Ointment is a sterile ophthalmic antibiotic treatment indicated for external eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Each gram contains 0.3% tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria. It is preserved with chlorobutanol and formulated in a soft ointment base of mineral oil and white petrolatum for comfort and prolonged contact time. Commonly prescribed for conjunctivitis and blepharitis, it is suitable for use in both adults and children. It may be used alongside Tobrex eye drops for 24-hour infection control. .
