Xalacom Eye Drops 2.5 ml is a combination medication containing latanoprost and timolol, used to reduce elevated pressure in the eyes. It is prescribed for patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who do not respond adequately to single-agent therapy. Latanoprost increases fluid outflow, while timolol reduces fluid production, effectively lowering intraocular pressure. The eye drops are used once daily in the affected eye(s), preferably in the evening. Proper and consistent use helps prevent optic nerve damage and vision loss.
