Yasmin 21 Tablets is a combined oral contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy. It contains two hormones: drospirenone (3 mg) and ethinylestradiol (0.03 mg), which work together to stop ovulation, alter the uterine lining, and thicken cervical mucus to block sperm. Yasmin is taken once daily for 21 days followed by a 7-day break. It is known to offer high contraceptive reliability when used correctly. Besides preventing pregnancy, it may also reduce acne and regulate menstrual cycles. Each tablet is film-coated and contains lactose.
